So… I’ve been really sick this week. I think I have the dreaded flu. So, I’m staying home from work tomorrow as I don’t want to make my co-workers sick.

I left work at 11 today and collapsed in my bed for 10 hours. Frantically tossing, turning, sweating, freezing and aching. It was awful. By about 10 p.m. I had mustered the strength to go to the drug store to buy some more cold and flu medicine.

I find that when I’m sick with a cold or flu I feel a lot better after eating McDonald’s cheeseburgers. So, my housemate David kindly bought some for me.

When it was time to go to the drug store he told me that he had a craving for chocolate.

“What would you like?” I asked.

“Ooh! Could you get me some Glosette raisins, almonds and peanuts?” he beamed.

I looked at him dumbfounded.
“Who the hell eats Glosette?” I said. “What is this, fucking 1991?”

When I arrived there was no Glosette. So I had to get him some peanut butter cups….
