Nathaniel.ca being SILENCED and CENSORED! ;)
Okay… so Housemate has politely requested that I refrain from using his name on my blog. “I’m a very private person,” he says. Fair enough.
I’ll stop mentioning him by name. That is a fair and reasonable request, but apparently he’s become drunk with power and has requested that I go back into my previous entries and remove ALL mention of his name.
His words were “you are simply being requested to remove my name from this virtual medium”.
Just so you know Da… err, housemate, hosts this site and blog on his server. So, he can at any time yank the plug on the whole damn operation.
That’s not fair!
I do, however, have one card up my sleeve. Housemate can turn off the server at any time, but the actual modem to the internet is in my office. If he wants to play hardball and shut my server down I can just kill his internet connection!
I think we need to stand up against the oppression of Housemate and demand he respect the freedom and integrity of the press. Democracy in this apartment is at stake. Join me in this fight, please!
“Housemate” – this issue begs to be decided by an impartial third party. Perhaps some kind of quasi-judicial body? You may have the ABILITY to censor my blog but you certainly don’t have the AUTHORITY to do so! SHAME! 😉
I DID insist on it from the get-go, if you will recall, “admin”.
Yes! I agree! And I have only referred to him on a first name basis. I have at least three friends with that name so I could be referring to one of them.
Here’s my thoughts. If “house mate” wants his name edited in previous posts he should take the time to copy and paste all the page links to you.
There is nothing wrong with him not wanting to be named besides being referred to as “house mate” (which I love by the way), but he should have insisted on this from the get go.
To go back now and go through each post searching for mention of his true name is too much a task and waste of time for an afterthought.
Compromise sirs?
