Nathaniel’s moving to Peterborough!!

Nathaniel Christopher
Reading my acceptance letter from Trent University.

My two giant Rubbermaid bins are full, the one way ticket to Toronto is in my wallet, and the staff at Trent University anxiously await my arrival. You read it – I’m moving. As of Christmas day 2001, Peterborough Ontario will change from a dot on the map of Ontario to my home. I am delighted to announce that I will be attending classes at Trent University starting in January, this is truly a dream come true for me. After two years in in the work force I have come to the firm resolution that higher education is the solid foundation that I need to succeed in life. I chose Trent University as it offers the community atmosphere that I have come to miss in this sea of anonymity known as Vancouver. Trent is the place where I will continue my success.

Take a tour of Hell!

A website that I started (but never completed) about Nanaimo.

Nanaimo. I still get the odd nightmare about the place only to find that when I pinch myself I don’t wake up. Yeah, for some unknown reason I bought a ticket to this hellhole that I called home for eighteen years. If only it was farther away! The best thing about Nanaimo is that it has three ferry terminals in which you can escape the city from. Although I have many fond memories of this decidedly quaint city, I have many more that conjure up memories of anguish, hate and poverty. My decision to leave Nanaimo in 1999/2000 was not made in haste, I had been planning to leave for years. On my last day of highschool I had a truck with my stuff in it waiting outside. I got on the boat and never looked back to the dismal life I never again will have to face. I made this site on Nanaimo after numerous requests about where I am from. Here it is you guys! Don’t linger there too long or you might just grow a mullet…

This is where I live now

Heh, I took this picture of myself in front of my house on a very cold and wet morning. Wasn’t too happy to be awake or outside but I had to go to work and finish a roll of film. I’ve lived in this house for about ten months now. This is my fourth residence here in Vancouver. I previously lived in an apartment in New Westminster, a basement suite in Kerrisdale, and a tiny apartment in glamorous the West End.

I am a resident of Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada who has blogged here for 20 years. I like to share my thoughts and feelings on my own online space. From 1998 until 2017 I worked as a journalist and I hope to use this website as an archive for all of my stories.
