Jobwave is watching me!

Hi JobWave! I see you! ;P

So yeah, I send my letter to JobWave on Wednesday and the next morning receive a telephone message from Judi Huta, the regional executive director saying she’s going to release my file. Which basically means no more JobWave. In some circumstances that can make you ineligible for welfare. She didn’t mention my letter.

I speak to Welfare and they agree to make a new employment plan with me, sans JobWave. Finally, these unpleasant people are out of my life. Or are they…

They may be out of my life but apparently they are in no rush to keep their hands out of mine. I was looking at my site tracker today and noticed 113 page views came from the IP 68.179.20.25, which belongs to WCG International who own JobWave.

According to my logs someone at WCG/JobWave started poking around my site at 8:08 a.m. and continued until 3:05 p.m.  They take a break at 12:19 p.m. (presumably for lunch) returning at 1:39 p.m.

It’s interesting that they can spend an entire day reading my site, but can’t spare a few minutes to return a call, respond to an email.

Here’s all the logs in an RTF file.

JobWave logs

I am a resident of Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada who has blogged here for 20 years. I like to share my thoughts and feelings on my own online space. From 1998 until 2017 I worked as a journalist and I hope to use this website as an archive for all of my stories.

  1. You know I was thinking about that today. How they would probably look into you and boom there you are on the top of the google search. Well there is nothing wrong with free speech and sharing your experience on your personal blog.

Job Wave – I hope I never have to deal with you! Stop stalking Nathaniel and do some damn work by helping somebody! Just who pays for the 8 hours you spent online reading his blog?
