I always thought it was an American thing, but apparently the provincial government issues food vouchers to assist people in dire need. They are government issued vouchers which can be exchanged for any item of food at any retailer in the province.
A friend of mine, who wishes to remain anonymous, is in the process of [...]

Leo Anthony Mantha was a tugboat operator and former sailor. He was gay and wanted to have a long-term relationship with his boyfriend Aaron “Bud” Jenkins. Jenkins tried to break up with him and Mantha lost his shit and stabbed Jenkins to death. He [...]

I was speaking to a man on the phone. I took down his message and couldn’t help asking what town he [...]

This is the first email I ever received. It was from my brother in response to my suggestion that we go to McDonald’s with money that I had quickly obtained earlier that day with minimal effort. “Kal’s store” was this dirty corner store that was ridiculously overpriced.
This was sent the day I signed up for [...]

For those of you who don’t know… I have ADHD. That is, Attention Defecit Hyper Activity Disorder. I look at it as a trait to work with, not so much a disorder to be cured. There are many benefits to having ADHD and I’ve learned over the years to harness them in appropriate ways.
There are, [...]
